When someone says the word "daisy," what's the first thing that comes to mind? Maybe it's a flower, but more than likely the word will bring back memories from your childhood and the first time you used a bb gun. Daisy bb guns have been around for more than 125 years and are synonymous with rugged youthful play.

The Daisy company didn't always make bb guns, though. They got their start producing windmills. The Daisy gun got its start when the company began giving away the bb gun as a free gift with the purchase of a windmill. The guns became so popular the company decided to ditch the windmill idea and go into the air rifle business.

Today's daisy rifle has come a long way since their start in the late 1800's. Although the original spring-loaded model is still available today, many new air-powered varieties have hit the scene. The gun is more realistic looking and shoots farther than ever and is almost a right-of-passage for many boys and girls.
